Emergency Project

To contribute to efforts aiming at preventing injuries from cluster bombs, unexploded munitions, and landmines, and to efforts aiming at alleviating the burden of disability, in South Lebanon.

Title: Preventing Injuries from Cluster Bombs, Unexploded Ordnance, and Landmines; and Alleviating the Burden of Disability in South Lebanon.

Objectives:

  • Objective 1: To prevent injuries from unexploded ordnance, cluster bombs, and landmines among residents in, and visitors to, areas infested with landmines and cluster bombs in South Lebanon.
  • Objective 2: To address some of the needs of individuals with disabilities caused by war or injuries from cluster bombs and landmines, and worsened or compounded by war events and worsening socioeconomic conditions, to help them cope and recover livelihoods.

Programming and Implementation:

  • Providing person-focused assistance services in collaboration with local organizations of persons with disabilities (OPDs), civil society organizations (CSOs), local service providers, and other relevant parties.
  • Proactive coordination with local, national, international, and UN stakeholders.
